Collecting musical inspiration from Brazil in a Japanese family, Lisa Ono is the woman who brought Bossa Nova to Asia. Lisa Ono spent her childhood in Brazil, she started singing and playing the guitar when she was 15 years old, and debuted as a professional Bossa Nova singer in 1989. Her unique joyful natural vocals, rhythmic guitar playing, and her charming smile led her to huge success which also promoted Bossa Nova in Japan. With her great reputation in Japan’s Bossa Nova community, Lisa has recorded a vast array of renowned albums throughout her career. The album Dream, released in 1999, sold more than two hundred thousand copies in Japan. Since then she has been known as a central figure in the Japanese Bossa Nova community.

Following her 2018 sold-out Australian debut Tour,  Lisa Ono returns to Australia for her “Music Journey” Tour in 2019. With this tour, Lisa brings more everyone loved classic pieces ‘La Vie En Rose’, ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’, ‘Jambalaya’, ‘Catupiry’ and ‘Quizas Quizas Quizas’. Selected Classic pieces from Spain, France, Brazil and Japan…with her unique, multicultural life experience and touching voice.
